James Cornfoot

The Cornfoot family (misnamed as the Comford in newspaper shipping lists) travelled from Sydney to Adelaide in 1846. They apparently settled at Reed Beds near the mouth of the Torrens River, a locality know known as Lockleys.

On 24 Jul 1851, James Cornfoot was born to Stephen and Emma. Some time in the next 2 years this small family moved north to Burra, where several more children were born.
